• The convertible outlet is versatile and allows a “half-switched” option. Both outlets or just one can be controlled by a switch. Users can plug devices into any combination of 2 outlets at one time. For switch-controlled options, simply insert the plug prong to the left-most side.
• General-use outlets only fit polarized plugs (with uneven prongs) in a single, straight-on direction, thus users are prevented from flipping one over to fit two if the plugs are bulkier. This special, convertible decorator outlet eliminates that problem by providing an “upside down design” that allows two large polarized plugs to fit flipped on either top or bottom outlets.
